Lucina Lanzara, teacher of singing and emotions

My name is Lucina Lanzara, a Sicilian singer-songwriter, composer, and producer, a vocal experimenter associated with RAI and Sonzogno, a Drum Circle facilitator using the Arthur Hull method, a gestalt practitioner, and a Magna Cum Laude graduate with an Honorable Mention in Music Education.

I have released records for Rai and Sonzogno, distributed by Egea Record. I wrote the book “Your Song Sets You Free – A Practical Guide to Vocality.

Whether in classical or experimental ensembles, with professionals or hobby singers, I have given concert lessons in Linz, Innsbruck, Salzburg, and I have collaborated with London University. But as a child my teacher would shout at me: “Lucina, be quiet, you’re off-key!

For 40 years I have dedicated myself to the Voice. I seek the Sound, working with the natural pitch at 432 Hz/seconds (fs).

I developed the format “Voci Vicine,” and I teach masterclasses for professional and amateur singers, focused on the ability to convey emotions through the voice. Singing is for everyone.
I write for cinema and theatre.

I work with Sound Circles. I founded Tamburi Palermo Ben Kadì, a group of migrant percussionists supported by the Migrantes Foundation, and this year I am “Sono Migrantes,” aware that we are all travelers and that our Sound goes before us.

My music is broadcast by International Radio.
